About

Community Gathering Space

The Hub is a 27-seat eatery that offers lunch and dinner from Wednesday through Saturday and Sunday brunch with delicious, creative, and locally sourced food. The Hub is a comfortable atmosphere where guests can enjoy food, drink and conversation and catch a Weston Theater Company’s production next door.

Free meeting space is available to local groups with state-of-the-art technology.
From an informal gathering of the local book club, to a more formal meeting of a local group’s board of directors, the Hub
has space to accommodate these various uses.
Private dining is also available.

We are members of the community partners group.

Owners have pledged that any profits will be distributed between employees and local nonprofits.

The Hub is working with Neighborhood Connections on programs such as afternoon teas, for members of community that face isolation.
Michael Ehlenfeldt

Michael Ehlenfeldt is Head Chef at The Hub at Weston. Michael’s experience includes 14 years under James Beard Award-winning chef Gordon Hamersley in Boston, 10 more overseeing Boston’s six Stone Hearth Pizza locations and most recently 6 years as Head Chef at the Inn at Weathersfield. Chef Michael’s philosophy is to use the freshest locally sourced ingredients and produce from farmers he knows and trusts.

Honest, Flavorful Food

Have some fun in the kitchen wth Chef Michael as he demonstrates how to prepare and cook a Winter veggie burger with Ancho mayo on a brioche bun! Chef uses  Yoder Farm heirloom beans, eggplant, zucchini, and roasted poblano pepper – all combined with some bread crumbs and an egg.

The Hub is all about community.

The Hub was the brainchild of Leslie Kimball and husband David Kappos, and  David’s cousins Marisa Bolognese and Annie Aft. The family envisioned a place where- like we experienced at family meals- people could come together over good food and conversation. After a multi-year search and permitting/renovation process, the Hub was opened at the Walker Farm farmhouse  in October 2021 with our fabulous chef Michael Ehlenfeldt in charge of the food.  While COVID concerns have thwarted some of the plans for community gathering, the Hub is a comfortable space for people to gather between 11: 00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.  Community clubs, such as the book club, can come together to meet in one of our  private areas.  Friends can meet for a coffee and scone, or over a full lunch or dinner.

The Hub supports the community in other ways- we pay a living wage and provide generous benefits and time off policies to our employees.  As much as possible, we purchase products from local farmers and producers. Wednesday night trivia games and other programs support local charities. We are proud to participate in Everyone Eats to support those in our communities who experience food insecurity.
